At SYMC, there are all kinds of great ideas that you will hear about and see for just about everything youth ministry. As someone who has been to several as an attender, I can tell you that every year I realize something I will do differently to improve how I experience the conference.
This year Things change a little for me as I am also leading a workshop on Rural Youth Ministry. So let’s take a look at what’s in the bag for SYMC:
Phone/Tablet charger. With all the great things Simply has baked into the conference app, you will need the extra juice.
My tablet. This has been a lifesaver for me since I traded for it last fall. It has great battery life, and can even present from it in a pinch. I have also used it with a square reader for selling my book at conferences…
Business cards. You have to have contact information for networking with other youth workers.
An external hard drive. This is more for the trip to and from the conference… It is loaded I have a four hour drive each way.
My presenter. This device has bailed me out in a lot of situations where I did not have a media person handy… I could run my own power point during church. It works really well for presenting in conferences and it was also cheap!
