Philippine Island Typhoon Relief…

Many of us can not afford a foreign missions trip, especially on a rural ministry budget.1426572_10151787589999436_1299426142_n

Here is an opportunity to make an impact halfway across the world through a friend of mine, Brent Longenecker. Many of you that have been in youth ministry for a while know him as “Brent The Stunt Guy“. He served with CIY Believe Tour for several years, and various other conferences.

This is something that a youth group can take on of any size or amount. The need is great, and any amount is a help to the relief work.

A few years ago Brent and his wife Amanda felt the call to Manila in the Philippine Islands. God has opened some really great church planting opportunities there.

With the recent typhoon, Brent and Amanda have an opportunity to help family members of those that they have been ministering to and sharing the Gospel with. Here is some information about their project:

We are so thankful that we were spared from the typhoon here in Manila. However, there are relatives of our church members that are on the devastated islands and in desperate need of food and clean water. They’re not being reached by the relief workers and many people have died already from starvation.

Yesterday we purchased groceries to be distributed to some of those in need. Tonight, Brent and missionary Lance Gotcher are flying down to Cebu to further assess the situation, and specifically what we can do on the island of Samar.

If you would like to give to the relief efforts, you can send donations with “Brent Longenecker – Philippine Disaster Relief” to:

BBFI
PO BOX 191
Springfield MO 65801

100% of your donation will go directly to purchasing food, clean water, tents, clothes, generators and other necessities for those that we have contact with.

Pray about how God would use you in this time to impact souls on the other side of the world!
