On Engadget today, they release specs on the new Crux Loaded case for the iPad. It includes keyboard, extended battery, and a trackpad (that Apple doesn’t yet support in iOS over Bluetooth). Interesting idea, but let’s look at the specifics a bit more…

Remote Desktop app (to run your desktop OS) $30

and Wow! You have sucessfully turned your iPad into a $299 Netbook with a big honkin’ battery!!! The other possibility is that you have just made a MacBook Air, that really isn’t….
