Primary Responsibilities
Preaching and Teaching:
- Preach 40-45 weeks per year
- Develop a team of preaching elders
- Create an annual preaching calendar to meet current needs of the congregation
- Approve teachers and teaching resources for men, women, adult, youth, and children
Spiritual Leadership and Discipleship:
- Oversee spiritual leadership development through ministries providing for growth and accountability
- Deepen congregational prayer
- Create and implement a leadership development pipeline
- Implement a small group model
- Design and implement an assimilation process including membership class
Shepherding and Pastoral Care:
- Reflect humility and the character traits found in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1
- Pray in partnership with elders for the needs of the congregation
- Lead and resolve church conflict and implement discipline and restoration
- Officiate weddings, funerals, baptisms, and communion
- Visit shut-in congregants
- Perform marital and pre-marital counseling
