Three Rivers Presbyterian Church (PCA) is located in Grove, Oklahoma. The church’s core belief is that “Grace Changes Everything.” Three Rivers is a relatively new church in the area seeking to provide a reformed gospel witness in Northeastern Oklahoma. The church is committed to worshipping God, making disciples, loving neighbors, and serving the church. While small in size, the church has a strong budget and cash reserves and is developing plans to expand and remodel its current building to allow room for growth.
Position Description
Three Rivers is seeking a full-time Assistant Pastor of Youth and Discipleship. The ideal candidate will have a passion for worship, a heart for youth ministry, a desire to develop as part of a ministry team, and a calling to serve in a small-town setting. This position reports to the lead pastor.
Responsibilities
Youth Ministry:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive youth ministry for middle and high school students
- Recruit, train, and supervise volunteer youth leaders
- Coordinate, plan, and participate in youth summer camps
- Organize and facilitate periodic youth events and activities
- Teach Sunday School to middle and high school students
Additional Opportunities:
- Preach at least 6-8 Sunday morning sermons per year if desired
- Attend monthly session meetings and stated presbytery meetings
- Assist the session in visiting church members, shepherding, and evangelism
Qualifications
- Either pursuing or have earned a Master of Divinity from a Reformed Seminary
- Ordained or ordainable in the PCA
- Loves Jesus, the church, gospel-centered, and embraces the Westminster Confession of Faith
- Meets the qualifications of a teaching elder as outlined in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:6-9
- Heart for youth ministry and small-town ministry
- Teachability and willingness to grow and follow church leadership
