Youth Group Devotions: 52 Weekly Ideas for Small Youth Groups

Youth Group Devotions: 52 Weekly Ideas for Small Youth Groups

A devotion is not a mini-sermon. It is a focused moment of Scripture engagement, honest reflection, and practical application. Here are 52 of them, one for every week of the year.

These devotions are designed for small youth groups of 3-15 students. Each one includes a Scripture passage, a big idea in one sentence, a discussion question, and a practical application for the week. They are designed to take 15-20 minutes and to generate genuine conversation.

They are organized by theme. Use them in order or pick and choose based on what your group needs.

15-20 minutes
is the ideal length for a youth group devotion, focused enough to stay on track, long enough for real conversation
One big idea
per devotion is more effective than three, students remember one thing, not three
Application
is what separates a devotion from a lecture, always end with something specific to do
