One of The Things I’ve been Working on… Rock The Bridge 2012

It has been a busy few weeks to close out the summer. I have been working with a team of area Youth Workers to get the scheduling and logistics together for an event that we do in West Central Indiana called Rock the Bridge. In the past it has been successful at reaching 150-175 students and adults during the Covered Bridge Festival. I was told at one point that it is the largest festival in Indiana. The opportunity to reach people is here.

We looked into things that we could do to reach more people and draw from a wider area. Two of them were move to a facility with larger seating capacity and bring in a band that is more well known to headline. We are doing both. A lot of the logistics have been challenging, because in a rural area, you sometimes have to “make due with what you have”. Gyms are not ideal for acoustics that come into play for a concert. But they are good for obtaining a lot of seating. I am really looking forward to this opportunity to be part of something that has the potential to reach so many students and adults.

If you are in Eastern Illinois or Western Indiana, go check out Rock The Bridge’s website for more info…
