Sure it’s cool that the Droid X, Evo 4G and Atrix can put out HDMI from a phone to a TV. How many youth rooms have Flat Panel TV’s with HDMI inputs? Not mine. But I stumbled across this info that could be a nice bonus for those of us with older equipment.

An ATT Samsung Captivate will put out TV out through the Old School RCA Composite jacks using a Camcorder-Style cable. Nice. You can get them for cheap from Amazon. Nicer. It works relatively well with the included (free!!!) QuickOffice Suite and just about any other app you throw at it. Nicest.

Don’t know for sure if it works on other Galaxy S based phones (such as the Verizon Fascinate, etc..). With some cables and software loads, your mileage may vary.

In order to make it work for me, I had to plug RED on my cable into Yellow on the TV, but then it worked well.

Here is More info on it….
