This year will mark 5 years of serving the community through the Ephrata Project. The Ephrata Project is a multi-church effort to help families with home repair projects and point them to a relationship with Jesus. Last year we had 18 local churches serve our city together! We have seen so many benefits to saying yes to our community and meeting practical needs. The best benefit of all by far is meeting and serving some amazing people. We have seen God use this project to soften hearts and help people see that the body of Christ does care about the practical needs of people in our community. Our communities are worth it!

We have also seen God’s hand at work with our students. Last summer we had about 60 students from 4 churches stay at a local church and simulate a short-term missions trip. It was a beautiful thing to see students from the same town, different churches unite and invest in their community.

The Ephrata Project is part of a bigger movement called The Compassion Project. Currently, the Compassion Project has two projects that serve over 200 families each year. For more information visit www.ephrataproject.org.
