Finally Here….

There have been some changes behind the scenes at here at MinistryPlace.Net in the last several months. They are finally starting to take shape….

Improved Design – First you will notice a simpler design scheme to make things easier to find and the advertisements have been pared to a minimum. I have done some coding to make it easier for me to administrate on the go, which is very nice.

Personal Blog – I have spun off Brentacy.com as a personal blog to post a lot of my devotional reading reflections, ideas, pictures, and quick snippets, etc,  to keep MinistyPlace.Net focused on the things I write that deal with ministry, culture, and technology.

Speaking Tour/Trip (Something Like That…) – In early February, I am going to be taking a week-long trip and speaking something like 5-6 times in 7 days (including travel). The dates and sites are all in Western or Southwestern Missouri, but if you are in Missouri, Illinois, or Western/Central Indiana, I can book about 1-2 more events in February.

The Dates so Far:

Feb 9th – Speaking at FBC Appleton City MO Youth Night – Appleton City, MO

Feb 12th AMMidlakes Baptist Association Youth Leader/Parent Training – Bolivar, MO

“Five things they didn’t teach me about Youth Ministry in College”

Feb 12th PMMidlakes Baptist Association Youth Evangelism Rally – Bolivar, MO

Feb 13th AM – Morning Worship – Mount Olive Baptist – Bolivar, MO

Feb 13th PM – TBA – Southwest MO.

Connected Classroom Project – The equipment is delivered, I’m setting it up for a Late Feb launch at FBC Rockville Youth.  We will start the roll-out in the Small group time Sunday Night, Then Moving to other parts of the Ministry by Summer.  I will be writing more on that soon.

SYMC2011 – I will be there, ready to connect, blog, fellowship, and learn what I can from the other Youth Workers there.  Look me up, and I might be able to give away a couple goodies during the conference! I can’t wait for the discussions there.

Dare2Share St Louis – I will be there with the crazies from FBC Rockville Youth.  Look me up, we can grab a cup of coffee together.

CIY Believe – Anderson, IN – My middle school students are going for the first time as a group. I can’t wait. I enjoyed the preview CIY gave me last year.

1 By Youth Indianapolis – Our group was part of the pilot 1000 for the Indy site. My students still talk about it. It is a good option that works well for small churches. I talked with youth leaders last year that drove 4-5 hours to make it happen. Wow!
