Fourth through sixth graders examine the evidence that Jesus is the Messiah by connecting Old Testament prophecy to New Testament fulfillment. This lesson uses a simple Observe-Interpret-Apply Bible study framework and a prophecy chart that maps Isaiah 35:5-6 and 61:1 to Matthew 11:5.
Big Idea: We can trust Jesus is who He says He is, because His life fulfilled specific prophecies only God could arrange.
Memory Verse: Go and tell John what you hear and see. Matthew 11:4 (ESV)
