A Standalone Gospel Presentation Tool for Children’s Ministry
The Rescue Gospel Framework is a five-step gospel presentation for children ages 4 to 12. It works in Sunday school, children’s church, VBS, backyard Bible clubs, and one-on-one conversations. No curriculum required. No special training required. Print it, keep it in your Bible, and use it whenever a child is ready to talk.
Most gospel presentations for children have one of two problems. Either they pressure kids into a decision through emotional manipulation, or they walk a child through a scripted prayer and send them home with false assurance that is harder to undo than no decision at all. This framework takes a different approach.

The Five Steps
- We Are All Lost — Every person has sinned and is separated from God. (Romans 3:23)
- We Cannot Save Ourselves — We need someone to come for us. We need a rescuer. (Romans 6:23)
- God Sent a Rescuer — Jesus lived a perfect life, died on the cross, and rose from the dead. (John 3:16)
- We Have to Accept the Rescue — We trust Jesus. We turn from living our own way. We let him lead us. (Romans 10:9-10)
- The Rescue Changes Everything — We are no longer lost. We are found. We are rescued. Forever. (2 Corinthians 5:17)
The Five Diagnostic Questions
These questions reveal genuine understanding without pressure. A child who truly understands will be able to answer them in their own words.
- Can you tell me, in your own words, why Jesus died on the cross?
- Who did Jesus die for? Was it just for good people, or for everyone?
- Do you know that you have done wrong things that separate you from God? What do we call that?
- If Jesus is the rescuer, what does it mean for you to trust him? What would that look like?
- Is there anything you do not understand yet, or anything that feels hard to believe?
This tool is free. Print it, laminate it, keep it in your Bible. Use it whenever a child is ready to talk.
