It follows Naomi’s losses, Orpah’s and Ruth’s choices, Ruth’s gleaning, Boaz’s food and protection, Ruth’s family request, the public town-gate decision, and Obed in David’s line. The child memory is clearly labeled as a paraphrase of Ruth 1–2. It does not vilify Orpah, make Ruth passive, demand family grief stories, or promise every bereaved family a marriage or child. Matthew 1 and the gospel are marked as later Scripture.
