The Day of Atonement: The Priest and Two Goats — High School Sunday School Lesson

Free high school Sunday school lesson on Leviticus 16:1–34. This reviewed eight-page PDF includes complete volunteer background, a timed plan, a reproducible Bible source study, teacher answers, and a family page. A separate claim check distinguishes Leviticus 16, later Hebrews teaching, and unsupported claims.

Students trace Aaron’s guarded access and preparation, the bull for his household, the two goats with distinct roles, the live goat’s departure, and the annual observance. The full Leviticus 16:30 KJV verse replaces the old memory placeholder. The guide labels Hebrews 9–10 as later teaching about Christ’s sufficient work and cites 1 Corinthians 15:3–4 for his death and resurrection. No pretend sacrifice, blood props, or public confession exercises.
