God’s Promise to Abraham and Sarah: Isaac Is Born — Nursery (0–2) Sunday School Lesson

Free Nursery (0–2) Sunday school lesson on Genesis 18:1–15 and 21:1–7. This reviewed five-page adult guide, gentle story, adult-held cards, and family page provides passage-specific volunteer preparation and a ready-to-use activity. The Lord promises Sarah a son at an appointed time; Sarah laughs in surprise; the Lord tells the truth; and Isaac is born as God said. The guide teaches this as a specific promise to Abraham and Sarah, not a guarantee that every family will have a baby.

Adult memory: “Is any thing too hard for the LORD? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.” Genesis 18:14, KJV. Children use a clearly labeled paraphrase. The guide treats family experiences tenderly and points to Jesus’ death and resurrection from later Scripture. Read both passages in your preferred translation.
