Noah’s Ark and the Flood is a free Sunday school lesson for 1st-3rd Grade (Ages 6-9), covering Genesis 6:9-9:17.
Theme: God judges sin but saves those who trust Him
The world had become very wicked. But Noah ‘found favor in the eyes of the Lord.’ God told Noah to build a huge boat — an ark — because He was going to flood the earth. Noah obeyed, even though people probably laughed at him. He built the ark, loaded his family and the animals, and God shut the door. After the flood, God set a rainbow in the sky as a promise never to flood the earth again.
Gospel Connection: Noah’s ark saved those inside from judgment. Jesus is our ark — those who trust Him are saved from God’s judgment (1 Peter 3:20-21).
