Cain and Abel both brought gifts to God. God was pleased with Abel’s gift but not Cain’s. Cain got very angry and hurt his brother. God sees our hearts, not just what we do on the outside.

Connection to the Gospel

Cain’s anger led to murder. Jesus teaches that anger in the heart is sin (Matthew 5:21-22).
