Description
Scripture: Genesis 1:1-25
Theme: God is the Creator of all things
Age Group: High School (10th-12th Grade)
Lesson Overview
Genesis 1:1 is the most consequential sentence in history. If God created all things, He owns all things. If He made humanity in His image, every person has inherent dignity and eternal significance. The creation account dismantles materialism, pantheism, and nihilism. Today, approximately 2.4 billion people identify as Christian, but billions more deny the Creator. In roughly 7,400 languages, people have no Scripture in their own tongue. John 1:3 tells us that through Jesus, ‘all things were made’ — the Creator became the Redeemer.
Connection to the Gospel
In the beginning, God created everything — and He still makes all things new through Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:17).
