Jesus Grows and Speaks in the Temple — Junior High Lesson (Luke 2:21–52)

Free junior high Sunday school lesson on Luke 2:21–52. This reviewed 8-page PDF includes two pages of volunteer background, a timed teaching plan, printable observation and inference study with answer key, the full Luke 2:52 KJV memory verse, and a family page.

It follows the entire passage: the naming and presentation, Simeon and Anna, Jesus’ growth, the Passover trip when he was twelve, the search, his listening and questions in the temple, his Father’s business, and his return and submission at home. Teacher notes distinguish Luke’s observations from inference and include a child-safety response for the search scene.
