Chaplain | Job Board Skip to content Chaplaincy Chaplain LCC International University https://lcchr.catsone.com/careers/38214-General/jobs/16780274-Chaplain-August-2026 Posted: 04/23/2026 Salary/Range: Location Klaipeda, Lithuania Description: Position Summary: The Chaplain provides leadership for the Campus Ministries Office, which creates diverse opportunities for students to engage relationally with God and others through Christian worship, faith-based dialogue, discipleship programs, and faith exploration opportunities. The Chaplain has oversight of four focal areas that contribute to students’ development: a) student faith and formation, b) pastoral care, c) oversight of the chapel program, and d) departmental leadership and external relations. The Chaplain serves as a member of the Student Life Management Team (SLMT) and the Crisis Management Team. Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Student Faith and Formation – to oversee, plan, and implement impactful programming for students to explore faith, grow in discipleship, and serve the world. Satisfactory performance is achieved when:  Students from a diverse number of backgrounds and traditions are regularly engaged.  The Campus Ministries Office provides an array of weekly and monthly programming to encourage student growth and formation including but not limited to: weekly chapel, Bible studies, corporate spiritual practices, discipleship opportunities, retreats, service, and more.  Programs are offered to all students with the opportunity to deepen their understanding of Christian worldview and its impact on all of life. 2. Pastoral Care – to engage students as a pastoral presence through personal care, encouragement, and support for students experiencing spiritual, emotional, and relational difficulties. Satisfactory performance is achieved when:  Students know resources for spiritual support and care.  Students experiencing spiritual, emotional, or relational difficulties are reached out to by Campus Ministries Office staff as appropriate.  Pastoral care is readily available to students in need or experiencing personal crisis. 3. Oversight of the Chapel Program – design and lead weekly chapel services for the LCC community. Satisfactory performance is achieved when:  Worship Apprentice student leaders are recruited, trained, supported, and effectively implement worship programming in the LCC community.  Chapel services are hosted for the LCC community on a weekly basis which provide a communal space for worship, growth and connection to God and others. 4. Departmental Leadership and External Relations – to oversee the Campus Ministries Office and LCC’s connections to local and international churches/religious organizations. Satisfactory performance is achieved when:  Connections are developed with local religious communities from a diverse background of traditions, and find creative ways to connect students into these worshipping communities.  The Campus Ministries Office and LCC International University are represented well on and off-campus, particularly when interacting with religiously affiliated organizations and institutions. Relationships: REPORTS TO: Student Life Vice President SUPERVISES: Associate Chaplain, Campus Ministries Coordinator WORKS CLOSELY WITH: Student Life Staff, Faculty/Staff Chaplain, Department of Theology Faculty, volunteers, IT staff/ student sound tech General Qualifications: People-oriented, creative, sincere, and depth of Christian faith commitment. Firm commitment to LCC’s mission Experience in Student Development and/or Higher Education and working with student populations. Understanding of developmental concerns of university age populations. Ability to encourage personal growth in others. Ability to initiate relationships and develop rapport with undergraduate students and staff/faculty Strong communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational, planning, time-management skills. Strong self-motivation and initiative Experience with intercultural issues and international student populations and ability to work in a diverse environment. Job-Specific Qualifications: Master of Divinity, preferred, or master’s degree in ministry, Ordination is valued as a part of the role. Experience leading a worship band and understanding of basic skills on multiple musical instruments. Experience in worship organization and planning, as well as an understanding of Christian worship and liturgical practices. Experience serving in the church or another religiously motivated organization. Experience dealing with intercultural issues and international student populations. Ability to encourage personal/spiritual growth in others and implement educational programming. Respect and understanding of Protestant, Roman Catholic and Orthodox Christian traditions. Familiarity with current trends in spiritual formation and religious identities among university-age individuals. Workload: Full-time (1.0 FTE) The University: LCC International University is a fully accredited liberal arts university located in the port city of Klaipeda, Lithuania. Instruction is in English and the campus is residential.
