Elijah at Mount Carmel — High School Lesson (1 Kings 18:17–40)

Free high school Sunday school lesson on 1 Kings 18:17–40. This reviewed nine-page PDF includes two pages of adult background, verse-by-verse guide, 60-minute plan, printable source study, evidence claim check, teacher key, full 1 Kings 18:39 KJV memory verse, and family page.

Students distinguish text, inference, later gospel, and unsupported extrapolation, including the different prophet groups, Israel’s initial silence, Baal’s failure, the LORD’s answer, and the severe execution. The guide rejects self-harm reenactment, violence against present-day religious opponents, and prayer as a guarantee of visible fire.
