Position Description: Senior Pastor Arnold (NE) Community Bible Church Arnold Community Bible Church is seeking a Senior Pastor who will faithfully preach the Word of God, shepherd the congregation, and equip believers for the work of ministry. The pastor will provide spiritual leadership, foster discipleship, and work alongside church leaders to strengthen the life and mission of the church. Preaching and Teaching ● Preach an expositional sermon each Sunday ● Provide sound, faithful teaching rooted in Scripture ● Ensure that the ministry of the Word and the Gospel remains central in the life of the church Shepherding and Spiritual Care ● Provide pastoral care through prayer, encouragement, and example ● Lead the church toward spiritual growth and maturity ● Teach us to address immaturity, carnality, and spiritual stagnation ● Show us how to interpret properly and apply the Bible legitimately for ourselves Discipleship and Leadership Development ● Equip members to grow as disciples of Jesus Christ ● Develop and mentor leaders within the congregation ● Encourage shared, rather than centralized, ministry Church Leadership and Administration ● Work in cooperation with the Elders and Trustees in guiding the church ● Provide oversight for paid staff and ministry leaders ● Maintain regular availability through office hours or reliable communication ● Support the orderly and effective operation of church ministries Community Engagement ● Build relationships with other local pastors and churches ● Participate in cooperative ministry efforts consistent with our statement of faith ● Encourage the believer’s presence and witness in the broader community ● Help us to develop a plan to share the Gospel and have ongoing training Overall Calling We believe the pastor is called to “equip the saints,” leading the congregation through the faithful preaching of God’s Word, personal shepherding, and the development of a healthy, active body of believers who serve Christ together.
