Group Juggle

Category: Team Building | Group Size: 8–20 | Time: 10–15 minutes

How to Play

A fast-paced juggling challenge that gets harder with every round.

  1. Stand in a circle. One person starts by tossing a soft ball to someone across the circle (making eye contact first).
  2. That person tosses it to someone else. Everyone catches and throws exactly once until all have touched it.
  3. The last person throws it back to the starter. The pattern is now set — remember it!
  4. Add a second ball, then a third, then more. Keep the same throwing pattern.
  5. See how many balls the group can keep in the air at once.

Leader Tips

  • Use soft balls (koosh balls, beanbags, or crumpled paper) to avoid injuries.
  • Emphasize: make eye contact before throwing. Call the person’s name.
  • If a ball drops, just pick it up and keep going. No blame.

Variations

  • Name call: Before throwing, you must say a Bible book, a fruit of the Spirit, or a characteristic of God.
  • Speed round: How fast can you complete the pattern with one ball?
  • Silent juggle: No talking. Only eye contact and gestures.

Why It Works

Group Juggle requires focus, communication, and teamwork. It is active, fun, and naturally builds group cohesion.

Scripture Connection

“Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.” — Galatians 6:2 (ESV)

When one person drops the ball, everyone helps pick it up. That is how the church works.
