David and Goliath: The LORD Saves in Israel’s Battle — Nursery Lesson

Free nursery Sunday school lesson on 1 Samuel 17:1–58. This reviewed six-page PDF gives volunteers two pages of full-chapter background, a gentle age-appropriate script, a supplied teacher-held visual, and a family page.

It traces the Philistine challenge, Israel’s fear, David’s delivery errand, Eliab’s accusation, David’s conversation with Saul, his trust in the LORD, Goliath’s death, Israel’s pursuit, and Saul’s closing question about David’s father. The child memory is clearly labeled as a paraphrase. The lesson states the battle outcome accurately without graphic activity, stone throwing, sling props, or a promise that children will defeat every personal “giant.” It tells children to seek a trusted adult when unsafe and distinguishes Jesus’ later saving work from this battle.
