Many believers want to talk with others about Jesus, but they are not sure where to begin. They may know the gospel, yet freeze when the conversation becomes personal. They may have collected several evangelism resources, but still need a simple way to remember what to say and how to listen.

A simple framework for a real conversation
Rescue Gospel gives believers four movements they can remember:
- Created: God made us for himself, his glory, and his good rule.
- Broken: sin has damaged our relationship with God and our lives, and we cannot repair that separation ourselves.
- Rescued: God sent Jesus Christ, who lived, died for sinners, and rose again.
- Respond: God calls us to repent, trust Jesus, receive his grace, and follow him.
The framework is short enough to remember and rich enough to open a real conversation. It helps you explain the gospel without turning the person in front of you into a project.
Why use a framework instead of improvising every time?
Rescue Gospel is not a replacement for the Bible, prayer, the Holy Spirit, or the local church. It is a tool that helps believers bring those things into an actual conversation.
A clear framework helps you:
- start with God’s good purpose instead of beginning only with guilt;
- name the reality of sin without minimizing human dignity;
- keep Jesus’ death and resurrection at the center;
- explain what a person is being invited to do;
- remember that evangelism includes listening, questions, patience, and follow-up.
Instead of searching for the perfect presentation, you can pay attention to the person, ask permission, listen to their story, and share the part of the gospel that connects to the question they are actually asking.
It works in more than one kind of conversation
You can use Rescue Gospel with a friend who is curious about Christianity, a family member who has been hurt by the church, a coworker from another religious background, a neighbor who considers themselves spiritual but not religious, or someone who simply asks why you have hope.
The framework stays the same, but your questions and explanations should respect the person’s background. You do not speak to a Muslim, a Jewish person, a Jehovah’s Witness, an atheist, and a nominal Christian in exactly the same way. You listen first, avoid caricatures, define your terms, and then speak clearly about Jesus.

It helps you take the next step
Good evangelism does not end with handing someone information. Rescue Gospel helps you think about what happens next:
- What question is this person still carrying?
- Would they read a Gospel account with you?
- Do they want to talk again?
- Would a trusted Christian or healthy church community help them continue?
When someone is ready to respond, the goal is not to pressure them into a moment they do not understand. It is to help them respond honestly to Jesus and begin walking with his people.
