Growing up on the farm, I never had any experiences with prowling lions. However, we always had to be
watchful of the cattle around coyotes. A coyote would never attack a group of cattle. They would be trampled to death in a hurry. They were much more content to go after squirrels, rabbits, field mice, and the occasional groundhog. Coyotes are very opportunistic. They would watch for a calf, a sick or very old cow to become separated from the herd. Then, they would take their opportunity.
In ministry, we must be vigilant in having the same approach. Isolation can be fatal to our ministry, our family, our witness, our church, cooperation with other churches, and the message of Christ in our community.
There are many types of isolation that can be deadly to our ministries. Guard your heart, mind, soul and strength from that which Satan would use to isolate you from those who encourage you to grow in Christ’s grace.
